Financial Institution Leadenhall Building
A Design and Build CAT B fit-out for a financial institution in London’s iconic Leadenhall Building. The 12-week programme involved CAT A modifications followed by a high specification fit-out of the 17,000 ft² space.
‘Panel’ to Success, Brand Strength = Building Structure
Works included the creation of a client-facing investor lounge and business hub with coffee bar, feature ceilings and American Black Walnut joinery panelling. Four large conference rooms with fabric wall panelling were formed along with a communications room and 11m reception desk incorporated into the building’s megastructure column.
Technology Focused – Communication Design
We used a ‘Soft BIM’ model to create a virtual environment which allowed many stakeholders to contribute to the design remotely via shared screens and by means of self-directed walk-throughs using a shared digital platform. This considerably improved the speed by which design sign-off could be achieved.
Challenges included managing noise levels and relationships with surrounding tenants and the logistics of working in a challenging skyscraper.
